SEEAP | SABAH ENERGY EFFICIENCY ACTION PLAN

SEEAP | SABAH ENERGY EFFICIENCY ACTION PLAN FAQ
Is SEEAP only for large industrial users?

No. SEEAP covers homes, commercial buildings and industries. Everyone can contribute by choosing more efficient appliances and adopting better energy use habits.

Do I need to replace all my appliances?

Not necessarily. Begin with simple measures such as adjusting your air conditioner temperature, switching off appliances that are not in use and changing to LED lighting. When an appliance needs to be replaced, choose a more energy efficient model.

How can I identify an energy efficient appliance?

Check the product’s energy efficiency label and star rating. A higher rating generally indicates more efficient energy use.

Can energy efficiency reduce my electricity bill?

Yes. The amount saved depends on the type of appliance, how long it is used, user habits and the prevailing electricity tariff. Consistent action can help reduce electricity consumption.

Who coordinates SEEAP?

SEEAP is led by the Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) in collaboration with government agencies, industries, energy service providers, educational institutions and the community.
