SOLAR RAKYAT SABAH INCENTIVE SCHEME

The scheme provides a cash rebate to domestic consumers who install solar systems through the Solar Rakyat Sabah programme. It helps offset part of the cost of installing solar at home.

The rebate is RM1,000 for every kWac installed, up to a maximum of RM4,000 for each eligible applicant.

The scheme is open only to Solar Rakyat Sabah domestic consumers with a single phase electricity supply who have received the SRATO from ECoS.

No. The solar system must be fully installed and the SRATO must be obtained before an incentive application is submitted.

No. There is a limit of one rebate per applicant and only for one house/premise per applicant, subject to fund availability.

The scheme targets approximately 1,000 eligible applications from domestic consumers with single phase installations. Incentives are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

The scheme is available from 2026 to 2028, or until the allocated funds have been fully utilised, whichever comes first.

Payment will be credited directly to the applicant's bank account after the application is approved.
