Role of Registered Electrical Contractor Class PV (Grid Connected) (ECCPV (GC))

An ECCPV (GC) is considered as a One Stop Center service provider which provides services from the initial until the end of the project providing technical and commercial consultation as well as assistance for any submission for approval with relevant authorities. 

The responsibilities of the appointed ECCPV(GC) are as follows: 

  1. Conduct technical analysis on interested consumer premises;
  2. Determine the size of solar PV system including type of panel and inverters being installed at the premise; 
  3. Establish the location of solar panels considering angles and orientation for maximum sunlight exposure;
  4. Advice and assist on the local planning authority and building permits requirements;
  5. To liaise with SESB/KKIP Power on interconnection facilities requirement and approvals.
  6. Apply for Permit to Install (SELCO-PV SABAH) and licenses from ECoS 
  7. Install the solar PV system at the premise and conduct Testing & Commissioning upon completion.
  8. Conduct periodic maintenance and performance exercise to ensure the solar PV system is continuously safe and performs optimally.                     
  9. Advising on financing options including solar leasing.
