ECoS Monitors Sabah Electricity’s Readiness Ahead of the 2025 Sabah State Election


ECoS-SE: ECoS Chief Operating Officer, Ir. Ts. Ridwan Saham along with officers from ECoS and SE during the monitoring visits to the Official Vote Tallying Centres.

KOTA KINABALU, 27 November 2025 – The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS), together with Sabah Electricity (SE), conducted visits to the Official Vote Tallying Centres at Dewan Sri Putatan, Dewan Kebudayaan Penampang, Dewan Hasil LHDN Kota Kinabalu, and Dewan MAKSAK Likas.

According to ECoS Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ir. Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid, the purpose of the visit was to review the preparations and contingency plans put in place by SE to ensure continuous electricity supply at the centres. SE will provide mobile generators and deploy technical teams at all centres throughout the State of Sabah.

Additionally, SE will also activate Operations Rooms (Bilik Gerakan) in all districts and at its Headquarters. ECoS officers will be stationed at the Sabah Electricity Headquarters Operations Room to jointly monitor the electricity supply situation throughout polling day until the vote counting process is completed.
